Standard Paint is our own brand of entirely natural, eco-friendly paint made with local ingredients from the South Downs.
Made with a linseed oil base, Standard Paint can be used on almost any surface to provide a durable and nourishing coating. There are no solvents, binders or emulsifiers. It does not contain heavy metals, carcinogenic or toxic substances.
A major factor in assessing the true cost to the environment of any paint is durability of finish. The cost of using our paint can be significantly less than conventional paints because our products last longer due to the durability of linseed oil. In Scandinavia, where linseed paints are common, original coats of linseed paint have survived on houses well over 500 years old.
Standard Paint also goes a lot further than traditional paints (up to 2.5 times).
We are able to colour match in store or you can try our paint bar where colours are created by hand (alla bar tender cocktail maker) at the counter.
